The Washington Braves is a rebrand of the NFL team "Washington Redskins". The Redskins changed their name due to controversy within the name itself. In the 2020-21 season Washington changed their name to the "Washington Football Team".
The origin of the name came from a typography project were I had to create my own font. Out of all the letters I made, the B was the best. After creating the font, we had to incorporate the font someway into anything. I decided to turn the B into a logo, and thought of the name "Braves" as a nice alternative to Redskins. I kept the same color scheme for Washington, but just made a new wordmark, logo, and jersey design.
